“All mountain landscapes hold stories, the ones we read, the ones we dream and the ones we create.”
– Michael Kennedy
On my visit to Khirki village, I spotted this mural at a roof top. I was amazed at the artist’s creativity and the location he chose. What was just a bare wall is now a soothing view of the snow-covered Himalayan range. The modest shelter with clothes hanging to dry blends perfectly with its background. It’s hard to imagine a better way to use this particular setting. For a moment, one can beat the Delhi heat and feel the chill of the Himalayan snow peaks, thanks to this piece.
